I went there on Saturday and Sunday and the vibe was different. It seemed more...intense. The first week was very happy go lucky, but it changed as it neared the end. I don't know if it's because not as many foreigners were there or what.
But we still had fun :) Like most things, it depends on who you're with and what you do. So there were some more beers, bratwurst, hot nuts, cotton candy and random momentary friedships. I think that's what Oktoberfest is all about, and what makes it so fun-the camaraderie. You make friends at tables, walking along the Wies'n and just clinking liter glasses together.
But back to "real" life now.
Lol, as if being an unemployed American bouncing around Europe is "real" life lol!
European nomadism begins soon. I'm thinking of going to Stockholm this weekend, and hitting Berlin on the way back. I have to check on tickets and all the logistics. But ooh!!! I can't wait!
I'm on my way now to get a German phone, so I can actually get calls and texts again. Which I'm excited about :)
