Here I go

So...I'm here at the airport, *almost* ready for my 17 hour trek across the globe. I got through security with few issues (damn overweight bag), but Mom and Jess were there to help me shuffle my stuff between bags. It's gonna be hilarious to see me drag my stuff on the U-Bahn and to my new home.

Goodbyes were emotional, as I knew they would be. The tears that have been threatening the last few days finally came, and I'm sure there will be more. It is so, so difficult to say goodbye. Even though I know I'm going to have a great time, still...it's hard (that's what she said-lol).

We begin boarding in a minute, and my first flight to Memphis isn't too long. I then go from Memphis to Amsterdam, then to Munich. Munich should be cold and rainy when I get there...yay. What a welcome :-(

I'll check in later. I need to focus on the journey and keeping my sanity for right now.

And I'm hungry. Damn!
